The expression “expressing oneself through culture” has certainly taken a different turn as we now are facing the most important and widely spread cultural and musical event of the year, globally. There once was a time when the rhythm of the music and the admiration for the artist is what made the experience and left us with a fulfillment and a feeling of joy.
Since the beginning of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 24, 1956, the original idea with it all was to rejoice in music and bring countries closer together. Solely of love for music.
We have an important mission this year, and that is to let everything else but music and artistic expression be on hold, and to understand our differences and accept them.
A nation's political agenda or decisions is not to fall back on an artist or culture worker whose main goal is to spread to the public what he or she can give.
Therefore, let us all come together and devote some of our time to give as much love and support as we can to the lovely artist Noam Bettan who is representing Israel for this year's upcoming Eurovision Song Contest!
How can you help?
Please spread the word out and let social media do its wonders. Every positive action directed his way is in itself a winning goal.
My most humble and sincere thank you to all of you!
