I expected the hate.
I expected the insults.
I expected the attacks for marching in the Israel Day Parade as a Muslim who stands with the Jewish people against antisemitism.
But I never expected my daughters to become targets.
That is the part that has shaken me to my core.
As a father of two daughters, there are few things more terrifying than seeing threats directed at your children. The moment I realized that people were targeting my daughters because of my beliefs, something inside me broke.
My daughters are not activists.
My daughters are not politicians.
My daughters are not responsible for my opinions.
They are simply innocent young women trying to live their lives.
Yet because their father refuses to bow to hatred, refuses to hate Jews, and refuses to remain silent in the face of extremism, they are being threatened.
Let that sink in.
Grown adults hiding behind anonymous accounts are targeting young women because they disagree with their father.
What kind of darkness has consumed people to the point where children become acceptable targets?
What kind of movement claims to fight for human rights while intimidating daughters?
What kind of person looks at a child and sees an enemy?
This is not activism.
This is not justice.
This is not compassion.
This is moral bankruptcy.
This is cowardice.
And it should disgust every decent human being.
I have spent my life standing up to bullies, extremists, and those who use fear as a weapon. I have faced threats before.
But this is different.
Because this is not about me anymore.
This is about the direction our society is heading.
A world where Jewish children are targeted for being Jewish.
A world where Muslim children are targeted because their parents stand with Jews.
A world where hatred is celebrated, intimidation is rewarded, and innocence is sacrificed on the altar of political fanaticism.
As a father, I am heartbroken.
As a Muslim, I am ashamed that some people attempt to justify this hatred in the name of faith.
As an American and a veteran, I refuse to surrender to intimidation.
The people sending these threats think they can silence me.
They are wrong.
If anything, they have strengthened my resolve.
I will continue standing with my Jewish brothers and sisters.
I will continue fighting antisemitism.
I will continue opposing Islamic extremism.
And I will continue speaking the truth, no matter the cost.
Because if we remain silent when children are threatened, then we have already lost far more than a political debate.
We have lost our humanity.
