Why do Jews defend the state of Israel’s existence?

 Why do most Jews so vehemently defend the state of Israel’s existence?

Why most Irish defend existence of Ireland? There are 100 million Arabs starving in Egypt alone, why cannot Ireland take at least 20 million of them and switch education to Arabic? That would be so humane, so woke, so progressive.

Talk about that to say Billie Eilish, and she would explode. She lives and works in the US, but she loves to visit Ireland and be among Irish. And even though mass-murdering people for being Irish is not a thing, and she will not have to run to Ireland from pogroms, she still loves to know that Ireland is there.

For Jews, Israel is the country they can run to if things get bad for them. Since 2014, nearly all remaining Eastern Ukrainian and Russian Jews moved to Israel - including those who were vehement Ukrainian or Russian nationalists prior to that. Because when things are going really bad, the population infected by antisemitism doesn’t ask about your political positions.

In December 2025 in Australia, two Muslims brainwashed by the Government-funded antizionist propaganda, murdered 15 Jews including a little girl, and injured over 40. In responce, the Australian Government introduced legislation that would criminalise Islamophobia - meaning the very mentioning that the perpertrators were Muslims would place you in jail. While doing nothing about non-stop promotion of blood libel by ABC and other Government-funded media, and $100s of millions in grants for “pro-Palestinian” activities that demonise Israel and her Jewish support.

So I dare say Jews need Israel more than Irish need Ireland, Spanish need Spain or Germans need Germany. Or Ukrainians need Ukraine. Nobody murders Ukrainians in the West or in Russia proper for being Ukrainians. The Ukrainian cultural institutions in Australia and Canada do not require 24/7 protection. The Russians are also fine BTW. Turks and Arabs are not attacked in retaliation for the horrific ISIS crimes, multiple ongoing genocides etc.

For many Jews, however, Israel is the country where they may need to run to, to take the final stand when the “civilised West” decides to join the Arabs in murdering them all. To have a dignity to die fighting rather than being dragged to execution by your neighbours like in Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Western Ukraine etc.
